Answer to the Quiz :
The photograph was from the cassegrain hole of the 90" telescope, while the back-end instrument was being changed. So we had a chance to peep through the cassegrain hole. The illuminated disk seen way up is an image of the primary formae by the secondary. The bright central spot is an artifact, caused by the flashlight of the camera.
